My Little Adventure

Alright - so I'm still waiting on the Stockholm pictures - I need to get some of the pictures off the internal memory on the digital camera.BUT I did take some pictures today.My Swedish friend Lotta asked me to run some errands with her .... so here are some pictures from our day.

Here are a few pictures of me and Lotta.We're so cute ... haha.



So , when Lotta first told me she had a dog that was a mix between a German Shepard and a Doberman - I thought I was going to get attacked - but Pim Pim ( a Swedish candy ) is the sweetest dog ever .





Pim Pim likes to sit on the floor in the passenger seat under the dashboard - I could not believe she fit down there - but she liked it and I thought it was really cute.




We needed to go to Roddeby and since Lotta's hometown was nearby - we stopped by to see where she grew up.Really small town - I think the population is about 4,000 - I think that was how many students attended HBHS while I was there = not alot of people.

This is the house Lotta grew up in .



So , we stopped by this mini mall center and we were looking around the stores and came across a purse shop - so, of course we had to go in.Now , I graduated from FIDM and I'm pretty sure that putting a horse in a purse store does not help with selling the purses . A display ? A horse that wears purses ? I had to get a picture.





On the way back to Karlskrona we taught each other ways to offend people in Swedish/English .... That was fun.



And in case you didn't get enough of Pim Pim - here she is jumping in the air to catch snow in her mouth.




And here is me - Happy.I had a fun day today.

Downtown Karlskrona

Alright , So Ron was making fun of me because whenever I take the camera out I come home with a bunch of pictures of swans and nothing else.So yesterday I went out and took pictures of something else.

This is downtown Karlskrona.




I was so happy to find out they have an H&M store here.I heart H&M.



This is O'Leary's.O'Leary's is a Boston themed restaurant and bar with red and white table cloths and baskets of popcorn at every table.The first time I ever ate here was the first week we arrived in Karlskrona.I saw Chicken Thai on the menu and thought "Wow, they have Chicken Thai here!!".Well I ordered it and needless to say - it was not Chicken Thai.More like - Chicken with sweet gravy.They do have great French fries.


This is Play.bar - A local bar that everyone goes to on weekends.



This is the only movie theater in Karlskrona.



This is The Fox and Anchor.Ron and I went in here once - all old men.So , this is the old man hangout spot.



Here is Niva.This is an upscale steakhouse restaurant and bar.

DressMann.


This store Carling's sells American brands like Wrangler and Levis and Lee.They also sell concert t-shirts.The prices are a little high.


This is a hotel downtown.It looks pretty fancy.=)


When Ron and I first came to Sweden we saw these little stores all over.We thought they were liqueur stores, but they aren't.They sell magazines and candy and ice cream.



Telenor is the major phone company here.


This is Wayne's Coffee.This place is always packed!


This is Thai Japan.Our friend Jack is Vegan and this is one of the only restaurants he can eat at.We go to some other restaurants and he orders a Vegan meal and they will put cheese on it ...haha, it sucks.So Jack hearts Thai Japan.


Every time Ron and I go shopping we always end up finding great clothes at this store.MQ.



This is a statue of a King in the center of downtown.


This is a cool store.Its actually a grocery store, a home product store and a clothing store.We like it because this grocery store carry's stuff that Willy's doesn't - like peanut butter! Haha.


This is the grocery store that we walk to every other day.Willy's.
